    Too old?

My brother recently bought a 15 year old fox trotter. And He (to me) seems like he could be a nice local barrel racing pony:).. is 15 to old to train a horse for barrel racing? He is a little skinny.. well alot skinny.. so I probably wouldnt start til summer time.. which then he would be close to being 16. He is registered.. so yeah.. When is a horse to old to be trained for that? Thanks:)

As long as the horse is healthy, sound an enjoys his job..I have seen horses go as late as in their 30's still barrel racing. Its up to the individual horse
