Topline issues??

I have a mare that we have just recently tried her on barrels and she is doing great. She was previously used and is also still used as a roper, but me and my fiance have always had trouble with her topline. I've bitted her up and it helps a little but I have really noticed any chug. She stays collected when she rides and she just turned 7. Any advice??

Long trotting, hills and lots of circles and serpentines. Hills are uh-mazing! Just don't over do it, because it's easy to sore your horse on them at first.

Last year, I had people commenting on my mares topline for some reason. I guess it was all of the trotting we did in a round frame, half halts, and pasture riding.
