We have a BABY!

So we had a new baby this AM! Sorry for the late post! Bay Stud colt with a blaze and 1 sock. But he sorta gave us a scare this AM so didn't want to get all picture crazy and post too soon.

He sorta had a hard time finding the nipple, so we tried helping then gave up on that as the mare was getting restless and he just was getting more confused. So we left them be and left her to show him and that she did (SUCH a good momma, always a joy watching her with her foals). We are guessing he was pretty new when we got up and went outside 6:00 which is why he was still wobbly and locating the boobie. But like I said momma did her duty and showed him. She kept nudging him when he was in the wrong spot and kept putting him back by her flank when he wondered up by her girth and started sucking. As of right now he only knows how to nurse off the left side...hasn't figured out the right side position lol.

So I have a couple different pictures (not the greatest). Will take my camera out tomorrow and shoot some of him.

Here is the little fella!

Training is how far it DOES go.

Look at those legs! Nice solid looking bone to them.

Does it look like he will roan out like momma, or is it a wait and see thing right now?

Cute cute face markings.

Got some better pics of him today!

And oh how he was getting in trouble this afternoon lol! He is so curious about everything and kept wondering over to the other side of the pasture where the yearlings are...and was NOT listening to his momma lol! He is probably the friendliest and filled with the most curiosity out of all her other babies!
