Well...My Horse is Out For 3 Months....Time For Projects!

Well my barrel horse is out thanks to a hot nail and horrendous abcess....so I'm taking on some projects.
1 is a 20 year old Appaloosa gelding the BO wants me to pattern for his daughter. CJ has done everything...roping....reining...WP so barrels came easy to him. Here's a video of a lope through. His 3rd time loping the pattern
It's not perfect....yet

I'm also working with another rope horse on barrels...videos to come!
Just thought I'd share

Thanks. She's absolutely miserable. I miss riding her....needless to say the farrier was fired bc this is the 2nd hot nail he's put in

At the run yesterday everyone was asking where she was :(

Thanks...Im pretty upset about the whole ordeal. We were starting to really click.

Well, looks like Ill only be riding CJ for tuneups for the mans daughter.

Im taking a look at the other gelding tomorrow evening. Apparently hes
Quick
And is a barrel hitter

Joy. Ill be sure to wear shin guards LOL.

My other gelding has come home...im starting him back to resale as well.
I also have my 3 year old Chasin Firewater baby to ride....but he's going through a growth spurt. Im giving him until the end of May.

So ill be missing my main girl but Ill have plenty to keep me busy

Well at least you have other horses to work with while she's healing up. Sorry that your having to sit out so long :(

If a farrier quicked my horse, I'd be looking for some money from him. It costs to keep a horse laid up and why should you pay for his mistakes.
