What a cowgirl!

I love this girl. Even after a big fall like that, she went back and ran the next day!

She is one of my favorites, right alongside my all-time hero Brenda Mays. I love this little horse too. I first noticed her because I thought the little mare looked like Selena.....Has the same style as my Selena too. Maybe it's just something with little bay mares!

Unfortunate fall, very glad neither Jody nor Zoey were badly hurt, just shaken.

Pssh.I didn't pick up the wrong lead
It's called a counter canter...
...A very advanced maneuver.

Oh look a crazy barrelhorse.

The horse fell bc it didn't walk calmly in. Duh.

It looked to me like the horse flung itself away from her once they were both on the ground; like the horse made a heroic effort to keep off of her.

Anybody else see or interpret it that way?

no...when the rider was running out she let the horse start to turn to the left...probably because the gate was shut....the horse clearly had its feet fling straight out beneath him/her and everything else was just the momentum of the fall along with the rate of speed the horse was going when it happened.....the rider and horse were both very luck.

Ouch ouch!

Nasty spill, for both horse and rider! I'm glad they were both okay.

It is not enough to know how to ride; one must know how to fall.
