I like to use a plain flat leather curb strap. Unless its a running/competition bit, then I may use a flat chain curb strap if needed.

I use the regular old plain jain chain with leather buckles ends chin strap lol

My bits have all come with the chain curb..Haven't taken the effort to pry then off and get the rope curb straps I've been eyeing in the NRS magazines. (; lol

On Squiggy's bits, I have rolled leather curb straps, and on all of my other bits, I have curb straps with two flat chains.
