My mare has gone back and forth between a couple, she gets into a habit of diving so when we need to school and go back to keeping her shoulder up we us a great Sherry Cervi bit

Although when she is really on and listening we run in a hackamore. I love this hackamore, it allows me to stay out of her face as much as possible and lets her do her work.

Although when we are out and about on trails or just working circles and such I ride her in a simple o-ring copper twisted snaffle.
