Why I don't like barrel racers

Sorry, but I can't seem to find any where in her post that she said her horse was perfect..Until you poked the fire with this..

Hate to burst your bubble but no one's horse is perfect.. They ALL may have their little issues.. Your horse may have been very good at his/her job and always placed you if you had a correct run..but you don't have to bang off "he's damn perfect"...He must never knock over a barrel either..

In all seriousness now, and also back on topic.. It doesn't matter who you are, what you do, what kind of horses you have..They all have their traits, bad and good.. Whether it be barrel racers, eventers, reiners, any discipline..There are good and bad people, trainers, and all people involved in the horse world. You can't judge an entire discipline on a few bad people that you've seen..Period..That's not how it works. If you want to judge something prepare to be judged back.. That's just life in general..

Ditto what DR said. No horse is perfect just like no person is perfect. Judging an event based on one person is just asinine.

And I'm taking years into training my "crazy arab" to run barrels because I want him to do the best he can in anice clean trained fasion, I'd say you need to hate "inpatient, unexperianced "trainers" that think they can take a hot horse and run him a mess on apattern"

:S lol does a anglo arab count? You shoud come look at mine! He's no perfect horse but he's def not crazed... Lol. He used to be though ill give you that I haven't eaten so many cattle gates and post in my life!

Every time I see this thread pop up, the title makes me chuckle. Mostly because I thought it was a tongue in cheek joke, then realised it wasn't, then found that fact in itself to be pretty amusing.

So, while we're on the topic of making unfair generalisations and making discriminatory comments about an entire group based on zero facts and completely blinded by personal bias.... I have a confession to make:

I don't like chestnuts.

None of 'em.

You know why? Cos they're the equine version of red heads, and I for one don't want to be catching gingervitis from a horse. I'm not talking about the inflammatory oral condition. I'm talking about something much more serious. This website pretty much says it all:

Sadly... I agree.. I don't like em either... Any color but chestnut idk why, nd I used to not like qh bc everyone rode one they was the perfect horseyatta yatta and all themppl hated arabs till I realized I didn't like them people my bf owns over 50 head and I love every one of them horses lmao!

Girl, you took my WHOLE post the wrong way.. I wasn't hating on arabians..I was showing the OP that she sounded just like that about barrel racers..and that it was completely ridiculous to put all barrel racers in one group, we aren't all like that.

Frankly, I was joking. I didn't think anyone would take that so seriously, but my bad, I guess. I really need to stop thinking I'm funny on here. In all seriousness, though, he was perfect, to me- he was my 'once in a life time' horse.
I used to hate bays because I thought they were mediocre, now, all the horses I tend to love are bays with stars, LOL.
And believe it or not, he never knocked a barrel. We used to chase coyotes through the desert, and he never lost one, because he was so good at dodging through the brush, lol. I'm going to stop right here before I make someone else angry, lol. Plus, I could talk for ages about my boy, so I'm not going to make you listen to me drone.
