    Zoey today!

Ok since I have been horrible at posting recent things....here is a video of Zoey doing some slow work today.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XM-Nb9YENEk

I left the clip out where I was asking her for speed....and I looked like a tiny monkey hanging on for dear life as she was beating me to death.

We are working on adjusting pocket size...she is just so awkward for me because my perception on where she should be going in is thrown off by her big ole size.

But she did good today......considering they were ALL feeling way way W A Y to good...and spooking at the most random things lol.

    So ya...just a little video :)

Oh yes 16.3 and little ole me at 5'1 lol!!

Ya she is coming along....she is ready for speed I just have to figure out the pocket and when to let her turn. I also just need to just lift and leave her face alone (she isn't one that likes you to really touch her much). Because you can see how she got tough when loping at the 2nd when she whipped her face around....she is SOOO touchy it drives me crazy at times lol.

With Beau (16.1 hh), I sent him in somewhat close to the barrel, and let him go deep into the turn, and then come out tight-ish. He had more of a rollback style. So despite being large, I actually sent him close. Worked for him.

She' so dang pretty! The only thing I do differently is even if I'm loping to the barrel amd trotting around it, I try and make them get on the correct lead. I'm absolutely in love with that horse though!

Thank You, and normally she picks up the correct lead but I don't really fuss with her when I am loping between and breaking down at the barrel.

Nice start I think. Want to start working with my horse to try barrels. Glad to know there are more people on the forum that live in Washington
