well you definetly arnt lacking horsepower, Not sure what the torque ratings are. The toyotas like yours I have seen pulling horse trailers looked like the rear suspension was over loaded, IE its rear bumper was very low. This creates a dangerous steering problem, as the front can loose traction. Hook it up and see how level your truck sits. Might need to add a spring or some other rearend spring upgrade. Load hors on one side put your tack towards the rear of the other. Make sure your trailer brakes work, keep the speed down and drive like you are driving on ice. I wouldnt have any issues with short distance local towing with one horse. The manufacturer diesnt seem to think its a problem either.
