Your car insurance may have roadside assistance which should jump start it for free.

I think I do have roadside assistance, but my mum's throwing a fit about no one touching the car but my uncle ;;

Ill go see if it has a thing on the dashboard stuff and update. Maybe a picture? Lol

This is what Im seeing:


I feel as though all the lights normally stay on when I only run the battery for music or something. If I can hear the radio, shouldnt that mean the battery is fine?

Amazes me people drive up and down the road without out even the most simple basic understanding of what they are doing. READ THE OWNERS MANUAL. At least you will know what all those symbols are. If I had to guess your battery terminals are loose or covered in corrosion. Clean/ tighten the terminals, get a jump and be on your way.

Just for clarification, I have read the owners manual (I do for everything, vehicle, phone, etc). Everytime I start my car, all those lights flick on, and then they're gone when my car turns over. The battery light was not on last night when I drove here, so Im not that simple as to not know that the battery needs checked if the lights on. I didnt realize it was called a battery gauge, because when I think of the word gauge, there's a number attached to it somewhere.

If the battery is supposed to be new, sounds like the Terminals have corrosion which will not allow the full amperage to make it to the starter motor.

It sounds like a dead battery.

It's irrelevant what the salesman said about it being new unless he gave you the receipt for it, in which case it should be under warranty.

It's really not that difficult. Either buy a trickle charger (we have 3, can't run a farm without them) or get someone to come over with jumper cables. Red to red, black to black.... real easy to jump start a car, ATV, Tractor, etc....

I figure its relatively simple and I can do it with anothet car and cables, but my mum will have quite a fit and probably tell me the car isnt mine anymore, even if its done perfectly. She wants to wait for my uncle to get home from work at 7 and have him jump it..Where Im suppose to get the battery checked out at that time im not sure (our auto stores have some weird hours).

Walmart, Sears to name a few check batteries also, call and find out automotive service departments hours till your unlce gets home
