As much as I love super duties. My v10 was the biggest waste of money. Only had it 2 months. Nice truck, drove nice. Power was decent, but nothin to write home about. And they might hit double digit mpg's on a good day goin downhill with a tailwind. Spend the extra on a diesel if you need a tow rig. You'll more than make up the difference in cost in the long run

No no no no ....lol....

Had a friend who had one, if you like 6 mpg while towing and 9 mpg unloaded and going down hill, then go for it

Several friends have the F250 with the Diesel, almost twice the mileage and pulls just as well

Ew that's horrible mileage! My v8 gets 13-15 mpg but now I have a bed cover so I'm curious to see if that changes anything.

Wow Dancing, my V8 gets 20 mpg when I'm not hauling, but it's an F150, not a 250.

I had an F250- V10, gas not diesel. I liked it, It got 12 MPG, loaded or not.
It could pull down brick buildings in a single pull.
Mechanic ruined it, got water in the fuel injectors. I think, something like that.
It was my company truck.

My current F250, V8, gas gets 10 MPG on a good day, 9 with a trailer,
Would not pull down the lamp post.

comparing apples to oranges. The f250 is a lot heavier, different gearing, etc.

Which is why I stated mine was an F150. I know very well that the 250 is a different caliber of vehicle. Plus, hers is a 4X4, which adds even more weight to the truck.

Dancing, since you're more aerodynamic now with the lid, you may save some mpg. I had a tonneau top on my last truck but I bought it that way, so I had nothing to compare it to.
