Cut taxes, raise minimum wage to an amount people can actually survive on, do something about all the big shot companies who have outsourced millions of jobs overseas which not only puts people here in America out of work but also takes away their buying power. If they don't want oil companies to drill for oil here then invest in alternative power such as wind power. Cut the appeal process for those convicted of crimes( believe it or not millions are spent per inmate in capital cases going through appeals process which we all pay for with our taxes) Don't give out bail out money to stupid people who couldn't manage the money they had to begin with at our expense. Make banks accountable for losses if they are idiots enough to loan a million dollars to someone to buy a house when they only make enough to afford a 250k house.
Tell the big shot companies, auto industries cut your own CEO wages posh vacations at company expense and dish it out to employees, cut cost of vehicles so people can actually afford to buy them. Give companies incentives or bonuses for keeping jobs in America and taking care of their employees. Cut the cost of health care so people can afford to have that to same goes with pharmaceuticals.
I don't think cutting government programs right now would benefit much simply because there are so many who have lost their jobs that are relying on assistance and will until they can find other jobs. I do think however the guidelines should be changed to helping those who either lost their job or are underpaid, not the people who have never held a job a day in their life because they are too lazy and think it's easier to pop out babies left & right and have the state support them then it is to be responsible like the rest of us who work our tails off. Stop loaning billions of dollars to other countries who will never pay it back.
I could go on and on lol but I think I will stop here

I think we do need another wave of welfare reform and we need to bring jobs back to America. Tax cuts are not enough any more yes they will help but we need more. We need to make jobs and be willing to work them no matter how much they pay. We also need to shrink the government because big government will eat up more money then anything.
