I have a 2004 dodge 2500 with a long bed and a Hemi gas motor to pull my horses and I love it. The backseat could have more room but I make the payment so I don't have to ride back there. I had a 1/2 ton dodge that I hated because every time I hauled ahorse I could feel every move they made but with the 2500 it's like nothings back there.

Eddie - we will get along even better... not only does she run on #2, but a handshaker to boot! Although i'm a ford guy, namely b/c they're what I know best, there's nothin' wrong with a dodge/cummins combo.

I will be curious to see how well it does pulling with those 3.42 gears. I like 3.73's, but that's b/c I haven't any need for the extra oomph of 4.10's or 4.30's. Don't like how the big 3 are dropping gears like a rock trying to save mileage.

Well the only trailer I have pulled with it is a 14 foot stock trailer, a bumber trailer with Hercules in it and I barely knew the trailer was there. All I knew was 1 mile per gallon lost.
