My Poor Baby...

Well, she's heading to the shop now. :/
I just recently noticed end or last week that I'm leaking vat fluid from my front axle on the right. I'm glad I found out before 4wd was necessary, I'd have dumped it all over the ground.

So now we get to head out to a dealership to get a new axulator (maybe) and a new axle seal installed.
$200 give or take down the drain..I'm never going to be able to get my custom bumpers, new running boards, and a stereo system if these types of things keep popping up. :/ Hopefully this is the last to go for awhile.

So, just I didn't know Dodge trucks were known for this too.

Oh, and my oil changes get to happen every 1500-2k miles since the poor thing burns a quart every thousand miles. ;;

Once upon a time the steering belt of my moms car fell off and we almost died, then we needed the breaks fixed and the idiot installed them upside down and backwards and I'm pretty sure someone wants us dead. The end.

That really sucks..but I'm not sure what your point was to the comment in general. Am I suppose to feel bad for everyone who's stuff breaks while they're driving and be oh so thankful I got mine checked before it did break while I was driving?

I understand and am more than thankful it was found before it completely went, BUT that doesn't mean I can't complain about the cost and how my poor truck that I just got needs fixed. Correct?

Anywho, back to my vent.
Total was $605 to get the right axle seal and both front wheel bearings (not ball bearings, oops).
To top it off, I have to drive back up bright and early tomorrow morning when they open with a knocking truck and expect them to fix it, for free. It was not knocking when I took it in. I ended up calling and he just so happen to remember that he forgot to tell me that something may have been loose in my wheel. But, I could've drove another 30-45mins for him, not a mechanic, to look at it and see what it is, hopefully making it there before they closed. I am not driving 30-45mins back to get there 5-10mins before they close to have an office boy "take a look".

So thus..both mother and I are livid. Yes, I should've listened for anything weird before I got home, but I should be able to trust a **** dealership to do what they specialize in correctly.

So, off to waste another quarter tank of expensive gas to get this fixed now. Shouldn't have been broken/loose in the first place.

I feel your frustration....Been there and it seems there is always something. I have questioned the knowledge of some employees at our local dealership more than once. I set aside a fuel fund to help with camping trips and it always seems it ends up being used for repairs...leak in the LQs this time....

This truck is just killing Now the left u-joint needs replaced and that's what the horrid knocking is. :/

Not sure why he mentioned that something was loose and he forgot to tell me though...definitely asking about that friday when it goes in to get that replaced. Only reason I'm not pushing to go to a different dealership is that the prices are almost double what this one charges for labour. O.o'

So sorry that all these repairs are coming at once. They can for sure be budget busters.

I just hope this is the last one..I want another horse, not another vehicle, lol. Not to mention I've been trying to save for my custom bumpers (plan to deck the truck out, inside and out)..and this definitely doesn't add anything to that, haha.

I agree, which bums me out, lol. my left front axle seal is done for..on top of the u-joint.
Last time I listen to someone saying, "Oh, don't even worry about that, it isn't leaking. It's fine." -.- I thought they wanted my money? Didn't realize I have to actually make them do it. :/
