This is a video of my horse and I sorting cattle for our 2nd time. We are very new to the sport (in fact I am very new to western riding in general) and would love some tips, advice, and critique. Thanks! Sorry that the video is fairly poor quality! Individual Cattle Sorting - YouTube
You seem to have done well! Better than I did my first few times haha! My first time I flew into that round pen like a bat out of hell! I'm still pretty new to the sport myself, but I can tell you're working on sorting them from a distance and not rushing /scattering them which is what a lot of beginners do. I personally am working on slowing myself down and thinking ahead about what my next move is going to be. It seems to me that you just need to keep practicing a slowly building up your speed over time.
