Well, guess I can answer that, yea, I am. But, now for the questions. I have found a Belgian rescue, about 20 yrs old, SUPPOSEDLY been on a dude ranch pulling wagons. I went and checked him out, he does need some weight, not pathetic, but down some. Feet definitely need trimmed, loosing winter coat, teeth need to be floated. He appears to be very docile, laid back.Came right up to me in the pasture, let me lift his legs, check his feet, touch anywhere I wanted.Would I be expecting too much if I wanted to ride this big guy? Do you think he's too old to learn new habits? In good health, do they have the about the same life expectancy of a "regular" horse? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. If it would work, we would love to gie this big guy a loving home.
