Will do :) Always happy to help.

I'm actually idly browsing stallions to one day use over my filly who also has slightly high hocks and a somewhat longish back, so if I find something I'll let you know :) I'm considering AI for her because that opens up literally a whole world of possibilities, but I'll have to talk to an equine repro specialist vet to find out about conception rates with AI and maiden mares. I only want one foal from her, and don't want to have to breed one to sell before I can breed one for myself.

    Foal
Thoughts? He is a quarter horse so Im not sure how well he would go with my mare, but he caught my eye.

F's Knight Ryder's hocks aren't bad, pictured on p4, but could be lower. Basically, you want short hind cannons :)
I think my guy does. lol

WS what is his breeding? I do like him.
To the OP that perlino stallion looks like he will refine the foal.
Plus you would get colour from the match. Shalom

OH YUM. Lovely low hocks, divine shoulder, lovely well-shaped and refined neck.

QH would cross well to your mare, she already has Paint in her right? QH/Paint are very similar in type and are crossed together ALL the time.

And, guaranteed cream dilute colour, which means that the foal would be guaranteed for registration in a colour registry even if nothing else... I would look up the rules for AQHA and see if they would allow partbred registration, but don't be too hopeful, because here in Aus they have specific breeds you can cross to and nothing outside that box, or unregistered, is allowed in.

Thanks! He is sired by Ecaho and out of a Bey Eclypse daughter.
He has his halter, so WP is next.

Thanls! He's a gem to work with too.
He won three Regionals and a WCB Reserve Champion. I thought about showing him again this year, but never did.
I have an up and coming two year old Im pretty excited about too! OLD breeding that I think will cross great with this guys fillies. He has a rear end and really uses it. Hoping he is my reiner when he is mature enough!

I am not much of a WP fan but a riener I could live with..
I really would like to see more Arabs used for western performance events.
I do not see WP as a performance event.
    Those gaits bother me. Shalom

Hmm, I agree. I'll show him WP for a bit as that's where they seem to shine the most. I'll never put him behind the vertical, so we'll see how he does placement wise.
He's VERY halter bred, but I think if he's got the drive for it, he's got good conformation for a reiner.
The two year old is all over it already. Stops and spins like he's been training for years - I think he'll go Sport Horse first (lots of halter breeding but his conformation is performance - He doesn't quite have the head for a NQ Halter horse) and I'll try him in reining training once he is done training.

But, I went off topic. Sorry Penny!
