Can big sturdy draft horses run barrels, reining, jumping, bend their necks etc. ??
I was wondering, because I am interested in draft horses, I absolutely love them!
I am still unsure of what I want to do in horse riding, so I want a horse that would have potential for anything..
Would a draft/ cross beable to do anything with training? Or, are they too big and sturdy to bend their necks properly?
I am only 13, so If I decide I want to show, I would go to local fairs, and compete in barrels, polebending, western pleasure, halter, and maybe some english.
With my friends :)
I could care less if I win the class, I just want to have fun, but also, don't wanna look like a fool trotting around barrels :P
Here is a horse for sale:
16.3hh Shire Draft Cross 13 yr old gelding.
Has only been ridden bareback with halter, as their tack doesn't fit him.
He is huge! Enormous! His legs are short, but huge, and his body is huge! Haha
He is built sort of like this:
I have seen clydesdales do jumping/dressage, but what about speed events?
Are they sort of fast?
Would something like this:
Be able to do riding stuff easier..
Than something like this??::
I would appreciate any input :) thanks!
