Just because you think your fences and gates are solid doesn't mean they can withstand a draft. 3wks ago our boys knocked over the scratching post that was set in concrete and, consequently, we now have 2 bent tube gates. An itchy draft butt can do some damage!!

Yeah, the fencing issue is something to contend with! We have electric fencing up just about anywhere he can scratch because he does and inflicts damage on the fencing.....

One of the guys at our stable has a QH/belgian cross. He's 16hh and looks like a giant QH (like one of the stocky QHs, just 16hh). He loves to itch his butt on the hitching rail after a trail ride. Luckily it's a 18" diameter log, 'cuz I seriously hear it groan every time he rubs his bum on it!
