Post Could he be part Spotted Draft?

This is Lakota, a 5 y-o Morab/Spotted something. His owners said that his dad was a Spotted something, they just couldn't remember the other part. Most people think he has draft in him and I was wondering if it could be true. He stands 16hh and weighs 1300 lbs and its all muscle. Just wondering if anyone thought he was a Spotted Draft. Thanks! =)

To see the wind's power, the rain's cleansing, and the sun's radiant life, one need only to look at the horse.

are you sure he's 16 hands? He looks smaller unless you are really tall.
Morab and draft seem like an odd combo unless it was an accident. Is he reg as part arab? There would be info on his papers.

He's a very pretty boy. I doubt the draft. His legs don't look big-boned enough, feet are normal sized, at least in my opinion.

I don't see any draft. Pretty horse though.

Unless it weighs a ton... it's just a horse. Draft horse motto.

I contacted the owner's again, asking for real information. She had be talk to her husband who I guess is in charge of these things. He tole me his dad was some kind of draft/Paint. So my boy is a mix of everything. =)

This is a picture of my sisters draft cross. I think they have a similar build but yours could just need to trim down. But hers is not real heavy boned.

I suppose it is possible that he could be 1/4 draft, though we may never know for sure. He is certainly one good looking horse with exceptional conformation.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

He could have some Spotted Saddle Horse in him somewhere. That could be where she is getting the 'spotted' from

he is a lovely looking horse that's for sure. I guess its hard to tell if he is half draft, Some throw towards that side & others don't.I have a 1/4 Draft mare that is heavier than my half draft mare.
