Let's see, well he was 3 1/2 then and I think he was around 17.2 then. Haven't measured him lately but he's grown some so he's closer to 17.3-18 hds. now. I need to take him out to my back patio where it's flat and measure him again :) When I bought him the rescue lady said he'd end up around 16 hds. which was great because I'm tall and like bigger horses. Never imagined he'd get this big! I'm now exploring the world of warmblood/draft tack depending on which body part I'm fitting. He wears an oversize bridle with a draft cavesson noseband. He does fit my Stubben saddle except it looks tiny on him. Just got a 62" girth for him, extra large breast collar, 86" blanket and I'm needing to get a new warmblood size trailer because he's too tall and long for my regular slant-load. He's worth it though :) He is a really easy keeper though. I keep him in with my POA and they eat about the same except he needs more grass hay to munch on to fill him up!
That's fantastic! I think it's awesome. I hear yea about the horse trailer issues. I bought a brand new warmblood trailer about 6 years ago now, and barely used with my tb(who was very large). I decided last year I was going to sell it but luckily for me it didn't sell and have now decided to keep it. I just bought a Clyde and I don't think she would have fit in anything but my trailer
