Arrow Drafts Under Saddle

So I am sort of pursuing this new interest in drafts under saddle... I'm curious, perhaps there's a thread I've missed - is there somewhere on the forums I can find photos of drafts under saddle? I never really thought it was that popular and had never really considered it before...

I'm not sure, perhaps you fans can help me out...if there's no other threads, please post your pics!!! Maybe you can reign me over to the dark side...

I don't actually have any pictures. I don't actually even own a draft. But, I have one in for training. He's an idiot. Nothing having a 2000 pound animal run you over cause he's scared of his freaking shadow. LOL
One heck of a mover though. He's gorgeous to look at.

Dang! I just got back from a lesson where I rode a Percheron mare... I'm kicking myself for not taking pictures. I have been wanting to for weeks, and here stands someone who actually needs them!

I will say that drafts are just like any other horses under saddle. They are somewhat limited when it comes to endurence (no twenty mile canters for these guys!) and heat toleration (at least the Percheron I ride is), but they are great to work with. Good horses; I've found they aren't the sharpest crayons in the box, but still an absolute joy.

Plus, riding such big horses makes your butt look smaller!

I can help you out a bit.
It's a pure Estonian Draft Horse mare. Name's Euroopa (in English: Europe) Very kind personality but she likes to be tricky.

I have a few! I think these ones are from last winter, nothing like riding on a snowy day! This is Lily, our 9 year old Percheron mare!

Here is an older thread with lots of good pix of those big beasties.
Post pics of your drafts and draft crosses

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

I went through that thread but there were only a few under saddle! There was one "horse profile" that I clicked on the other day of a BEAUTIFUL draft with a saddle on, and the girl was standing on the road holding his/her reins. They were both looking the other way. It was one of the nicest photos I've seen in a long time! Does anyone know who I'm talking about?

What kind of draft was it, do you remember? Sometimes we can remember a member just by their horses.
