I've already posted before but I thought an update was called for. Wishaw Serenity went to the New Zealand Horse of the Year Show and won a 3rd place in the Ridden Clydesdale class - so proud of her. She is being ridden by a young friend of mine as I haven't yet lost enough weight to get into my show jacket.

Here is a pic of me and Bo, the horse I ride for CTR. He is a Percheron, at the time of the picture (March) was 6 yrs. Old, 17 hands.

I love Bo!! A draft and a paint all in one! Is that an unusual color for a percheron? I was thinking they were only black or grey.....

You are right, I should have said Percheron cross...and in this pic he was just clipped for upcoming trail rides.

Me and my Sam-I-Am, together again!

Hey everyone! Well, I made it home and I'm back from the Army now! Reunited with my Sam! He'll be two in July, so all we did was fit his bareback pad and breast plate... and then I couldn't resist sitting on him. But, all I did was sit on him. We didn't actually ride. There will be no actual riding until he's 3, I was just excited to be home. We've ground driven with a surcingle, but he hasn't had a harness on yet. We're taking things slow. I measured him and he's 16h at the withers and 16.2h at the shoulder. I'm hoping he doesn't grow much taller than 16.2h but we'll see.
