Thumbs up Empire Farms ROCKS! My Experience

Sooooo I dunno if this is even allowed, but I am so happy I feel these people need some recognition.

Today, I went to EMPIRE FARMS TACK shop. This was the first day they opened. On a different post someone suggested them and they just so happen to be an hour from me. So I went in there, and let me tell you---from start to finish it was the best experience EVER! Empire Farms LLC Tack Shop: Your one stop source for everything Equine....and Farm

Nikki and her Husband who for the life of me I cant remember his name, were AWESOME! I was looking for a draft halter and a few other things and she helped me with everything. I am new to everything and she explained everything to me. She answered all my repetitive questions and showed me all my options and told me what I should stay away from on certain tack that would not work good for my draft. She has really good quality stuff and i ordered some awesome things......2 halters, 1 of which is a specialty halter, a headstall, saddle pad, breast collar, lead rope, and reins ALL for $200. IN DRAFT HORSE SIZE
I was so impressed....so thats nothing......guess what happens next

I mentioned I was trying to find someone to haul my new boy to my property and had been hitting road blocks. She offered her and her husband up and they closed early (it was her first day, so it wasnt like she sent people away) but she closed up shop, and they hooked up their trailer and went straight to get my horse--3 hours from her. They picked him up and brought him right too me. I met her at the previous owners house and they took good care in getting him in the trailer so it was a good experience, and did everything in a professional manner. I was jaw dropped that I was actually getting my draft today.

So wait---thats not it

She gets here, to my house, and unloads my boy.....takes him in the pasture for me and answered every question I had about him. She explained things I had questions on that even the old owners didnt give me much info on. Her and her husband spent time talking to my husband about the fencing on our property and giving us ideas about how we could do things. I was concerned about my barn and they walked through and told us about what things were in there and what we could do to get it "back to life". The barn is like 50yrs old and needs some work. I was discouraged because i thought it may not have been good enough for the horse. Nikki and her husband gave me all kinds of ideas on how to economically do somethings to give it a facelift.

These people spent hours with me today. I have to say that the passion they have for the horses is amazing. I am so thankful for how they treated me and my family. A couple tack shops i had visited around here didnt have time for newbie questions, but these 2 went above and beyond.

Money is tight for all of us, but if you are trying to find good tack for your horses, these people are the ones you want to give your business too. They are not money grubbers and are totally into their business and customers.

Being a newbie, this has been the best experience EVER. I felt you all needed to know, that the people behind Empire Farms LLC Tack Shop: Your one stop source for everything Equine....and Farm are good people and will not do you wrong.

I hope this doesnt come off so advertsing like, but my experience has been amazing.

On another note----after bringing my "belgian QH" home and looking at his coggins papers....we found out that he was listed as a 1/2 Belgian and 1/2 Perch. The people that owned him had no clue they didnt even know. They only had him a few months.

So I officially have a BELGIAN PERCH X

Sounds like they were really nice. Did you ask about return policy in case the tack doesn't fit your boy? I had to go through three bridles before I got the right size, it was crazy.

You should also try Draft Tack. They have a lot more variety and some of their prices are quite a bit lower.

Unless it weighs a ton... it's just a horse. Draft horse motto.

From my understanding they used to OWN draft tack but sold it to a friend. I dunno what their story is behind that...and its non of my business..but .They go through the same company and she is still working on the website. She had an entire book there for me to go through which is not even half of what she has on her site.
