How much can you expect to see a 5 y/o Percheron at sale go for

This is not my horse but a client wants me to help sell/place him in a home.
He is a very well mannered Gelding who is halter broke.
I have been told he has been backed but I am not sure of it.
I do not have any pictures as of yet.

The client was just going to give him to me. I told him I would instead help him find a home for him. I have no use for a Percheron.

I will post pictures as soon as I can get down to take some.
I am just looking for a general Idea of Price.

My now 5 year old, halter broke, unbacked Percheron was given to me a year ago.

Eh, an unbroke, 5 y/o draft? Not much of anything.

I got my 6 year old draft - only halter broke (which didn't even turn out to be true) for just the cost of trucking.

Well he just wants to go to a good Home. I told him I would help him find one. He has been backed according to the owner and has great lines according to him I will find some some about him soon, as he just sprung this on me today

I bought my then 12-yr old Percheron for $1000 a few years ago in PA. She was started, but had holes in her training (like bolting when mounted) so I had to completely re-start her. She has stellar conformation and a winning temperament, which is why we were willing to spend anything on a project.

Well I will get pictures and stuff of him Hopefully this weekend. I am pretty sure JR will be open to offers on him as he really just wants him to go to some one who will use him. I wish I could but I can not afford another horse

If you can show us some photos, I can try to figure this out for you. I know a lot of people local to here who would be more than willing to pay for trailering on a well put together draft. Is he papered?

Critter, with him being what he is in this market, it's unlikely you'll be able to sell him. Probably you're just looking at finding him a good free home.

In spite of all the horror stories everyone always hears, one of the first places I would look at is with the Amish. They have a community called Yoder, which is a little northeast of Kingman Kansas (there is also a draft horse/mule and implement sale in Kingman 2 times a year). I know many of the families up there and in all the time I've spent around them, I've never seen a single instance of a horse being abused, overworked, or neglected in any way.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

sorry I do have a few pictures I went out and visited with the mans wife and got to see Black Magic "blacky" he is a sweet Gentle well mannered gelding
He was terribly bitten up by Flies and I sprayed him down and doctored the ones that needed it. He stood nicely for the whole ordeal.

Here is blacky
