Not a recent pic, but this was my old share horse from a couple of years ago. Bracken, aka the giant slobber monster!

And this was the 18hh Clydesdale gelding I shared for a while last year: Mouse. And this was usually how I rode him - bareback, around the farmyard.

This is one of my favourites at our lesson barn. It was on my bucket list to ride a Clydesdale someday so I was over the moon when I discovered that our lesson barn had this teddybear. :)

This is my favorite riding picture of all time even though my EQ was far from perfect, and my saddle pad was slipping back. My avatar is the same pic but my issues with the pic are less evident given the size. ;) Aside from the nitpicks, it's still my favourite photo - I finally checked a line on my bucket-list and I love how he's in "full flight" in the photo, feathers flying, dust following, tail curled...just everything about it.

And another pic.

What a beautiful horse. My bucket list item is to also one day own a Clyde. Always been a dream. They are just to beautiful!

This is our little lady. She's a draft cross. The sire is a registered paint, and mom is clyde with solid colours! I think the typical clyde markings prevailed anyways, because the filly came out with the 4 stockings.

A friend of mine raised paint horses for several years, but has now changed her herd to reflect her love for owning a draft. Her herd now consists of several clyde mares & she is learning all about how to show them now too. She still owns her paint stallion & has a SPB mare but her herd is primarily clydes now. She has now started breeding some with her new herd & the first foals will arrive this spring,of the spotted draft variety. At first ,I questioned her decision to take her breeding plans that direction, but after seeing some of nice crosses, I can't wait to see her foals this year!!

She is a 16 yo, 16.3 hands, wears large horse size tack, size 8 shoes. VERY sweet mare, packs my non-rider husband on trail rides, down the road, etc. Drives, too. Yesterday, as a testament to her good disposition, I took her to my friend's barn, got her out of the trailer, tied the rope on her halter, and rode her bareback in the driveway. (I had never ridden her this way)

My friend got a bridle, and a couple of her kids wanted to ride her, so they DID! Even the 6 year old!

These are all such beautiful horses!

I have always wanted to get my hands on a clyde, but always end up with thoroughbreds lol. Hope to one day get one!

You won't regret getting one. Aside from being nice riding horses, they're also big squishy cuddle monsters!!

Yep. Bigger the horse, bigger the teddybear. Just watch those big feet, sometimes they forget where they're putting them. I have a cracked big toenail courtesy of the boy in the pics above. ;)
