I'm going to be rescuing/adopting a belgium!

Yesterday I found a Belgium gelding online, he was an amish work horse, the lady who has has him now bought him from the amish, he underweight but otherwise healthy, is broke to ride and drive and is around 12 years old. Now heres the kicker, the lady who has him now "Can't take care of him anymore" and wants $400 for him or she's going to put him through auction, where of course mostly kill buys shop. Poor guy, so we will be taking a trip down to see him probably either Thursday or Monday. He's about 3 hours away. His names Jake :p can anyone think of a good name for a 17+H Belgium? :) I'm really excited!

I can't think of a good name, but that's a very nice thing you're doing.
Let us know how it goes? And be sure to take pictures!

Gah why can't I edit my post! I just realized I spelt Belgian wrong about 100 times in that post! Lol. I talked to the lady who has him, I'm going to see him on Thursday, he's about 3 hours away. Then hopefully going to pick him up next week!

Jakes growing on me too, I was talking to my friend Amy (we're going to co-own him together) and we agreed we're going to keep Jake, and his show name is going to be Jake in the Box hehe

I like Jake. Drafts are traditionally named a person's name.
