Introduce Your Drafties!

Well, I know we already have a Drafts Under Saddle thread, and a Half Draft thread, but we are always getting new people, and not everyone rides their Drafts. So, I thought it'd be nice to have a thread to just show off our Drafts.
Be sure to include name, age, breed, and what you do with them.


This is Sam, he's a 2y/o Belgian and I've had him since the day he was born... He's a bit of a brick powerhouse....



This is Ben. He's my newest addition. He is 1.5y/o and the biggest sweetheart ever. He's a bit scrawny for my liking, but good hay and regular feeding will solve that quick



And here they are together.




I plan to train both of them under saddle for trail riding. I'd love to dabble in dressage and jumping with them. Mainly, I plan to use them under harness as a team for hayrides, sleighrides, weddings, logging, farming...

Yay! I am always happy to post more pictures of my horses! Here is one from today when I was doing some desensitizing with Belle 'Big Mamma' in her blinders which make her feel insecure.






Then there is my little spotted draft/paint cross Snickers....

My Percheron/paint cross gelding, Aires. I need to go out and take better pics of him now that he's completely shed out and has grown so much. He is turning into one fine-looking horse!

Oops! Got so excited about the pictures that I forgot the info...

First horse is a 17 year old percheron Mare...Belle 'Big Mamma'. She trail rides and drives. She is just plian wonderful.

Second horse is a 3 year old spotted draft/paint cross named Snickers. She has just been started under saddle with light trail riding and ring work. She is just plain silly.

Draftyairesmom.....you forgot info too!...on your gelding who could be Snickers brother!

Ummmm...

This is Aires. He's my 16hh 3-year-old Percheron/paint cross gelding. He was started (lightly) under saddle last summer. He's my go-to guy for trails and is good in the arena as well. Eventually, we're going to event.

I LOVE him! The best of the percheron and paint world!!! He is handsome.

Thanks! He's my baby! He's looking soooooooo good all sleeked out in his summer coat. Looking more like a horse now and less like a baby.

Can't wait to get the new mare and for them to meet. Should be interesting since they're about the same size and sound like they're about the same temperament.

I feel like I show Dozer off too much.. Oh well!

This is my guy, Dozer. He is 18.2hh and about 8 years old. I've had him for around three years and have used him for mostly trail. He is good in the arena and I hope to one day get him into low level jumping. We think he is a mix of perch and paint, but not sure. He is a PMU.
