    Draftyairesmom....I didn't realize that our two horses are the exact same age too....but 8 inch difference....so funny to see how they mature.

    I LOVE the belgians Sam and Ben too....along with their names.

    Aires is definitely taking after his Percheron dam, who was about 18hh. But he got his daddy's paint genes for sure. His sire was only 15.1hh. Aires passed him in height just after he turned two.

    LOVING this thread. All the beasties are so beautiful!
    Though I do not have any drafts of my own, I would love to breed them some day. Perhaps Shires? But I love all the big breeds so much.

    HA, I also want to breed ponies. I'll have fields full of big ol' drafties along side wee little ponies



    @OldHorseLady -- you're very brave to be around those big old hooves in flipflops!

    P.S. In my avatar picture I am actually barefoot!.....pretty much something I would only do with Big Mamma.....yes, I do realize that she could break my whole foot with one step.....

    This is Kiera. She is now 1 year old as of May, and is about 14, 14.1 hands at the wither, and 14.3 in the rear. X_x
    She is a Percheron/QH cross.
