Time for update Flirt pictures too I think. Well semi updated.
These were at both Flirt and I's first ever show, where he behaved like an old pro and slept through most of the hub.
And recent photos from a few days ago, now 18 months old! We don't currently take side on shots of him as he has finally stumbled in to awkward yearling stage and his back end doesn't seem to belong to his front end anymore.
Can't believe I have only just discovered this thread... and with it the concept of a shire/TB cross *drool*...
I have Canelo, 11-year-old Percheron/Chilean cross with a mane-rubbing habit. Doesn't do much in the field except eat, sleep, and do an excellent impression of a horse statue, but under saddle he's lovely.
The day he arrived. Needed some groceries, a foot trim, and for his tail to have the massive club-like dreadlock taken out of it. You can just see it in silhouette.
Lunging (boyfriend learning to lunge at the same time...)
Smiling for the camera (or just not impressed with the taste of his new vitamins)
In the process of learning to be a packhorse. How huge is is head in this picture?
And one last one, in his winter woollies and after three months of being a pasture puff and hanging around with his girlfriends waiting for them to foal...
My two Frisian/Saddlebreds
1. Youngest last Summer at 3 years 7 weeks old. 16.2
2. Youngest in Feb. The girl walking her is 5'6", so she's still growing. 16.3 (I'd happy for her to stop, but she won't)
3. Taking her year older cousin for a ride. My baroque tank who loves to jump the fence dividing the pastures....just because she can.
The rest is just them grazing.
This is my new Percheron/TB 2 year old soon to be gelding. He is a momma's boy. His name is Ghost the reason they called him that was because when he was born he was the same color as the tall dead grass and they couldn't find him when he would nap. I am going to start saddling him soon and doing some ground work he hasn't had much of that before I got him.
