High everyone I am new here and new to the draft cross world....I just recently bought a Mare from down in Gulfport, MS and all I was told is that she is a draft cross. I would really like a guess as to what breeds she is. She has a blue eye which threw me off a little but from the size of her feet and conformation wise I know she has draft in her. She is 9, 16hh and a handful, but she is my baby.....Any guesses?

Honestly, I just see a thick paint horse. I used to ride a paint mare that was built just like her, but she was only about 14.3hh. I'm just not seeing any draft breeds jumping out at me.

    She's gorgeous, though!

Dozer's breeding is unknown, I know there's thoroughbred in there, but that jughead of his suggests there may be some draft... he is having an identity crisis. What do you guys think?

Also he was very underweight when the people I got him from bought him. He is more filled out now than he was in that 2nd photo.

I have her feathering trimmed in these pics when I got her she had full feathering and her feet are the size of pie plates. I guess the pictures don't really do her justice as far as size wise goes. Thanks for the reply...all the horses on here a beautiful!!!

Hi, BellaandCleo! What a cutie-pie you have! Name? It really helps to post the height I think. I can't make a guess, but then again I usually check out the width of the chest and the heiney.

Wow, barrelbeginner, Claymore is so handsome. What a great name too!

Dozer seems to have finer legs and a narrower chest than I would expect in a cross. How tall is he, Equilove? What's his age? Good-looking fella. Love his coloring.

Hey guys, I want your fields!

Thanks! I love his color too. It's very ... different ... haha. And I agree about the fine legs... I think if he DOES have draft, it's maybe 1/4 or 1/8 not 1/2. Haha ;)

He's 16.2 and 7 years old. In the picture of me riding him, it makes him look odd because the person taking the photo was uphill of us, plus I'm 6'2 myself.

He is still a touch underweight (and undermuscled) - here's a photo of him in May when the people I got him from bought him. I've had him 2 weeks.
