Claymore doesn't even notice the electric, he just pushes right through it. And I have a 20 mile charger on 7 acres of fence. I have heard people say skip the solar and go with a plug in charger, now I know why.

That's my next project around here, running tape set 6 inches inside the fence instead of electrifying two lines of the fence itself, and getting a whopper of a plug in charger that will set my fence buster on his haunches.

That's what I have done, I've put about 12 rides on Finn now, just walking and getting him starting to learn how to move with weight up there. I do plan to take him on a "real" trail ride in Oct. But we will stick with walking and maybe a little trotting, not doing anything but very light riding with him until next year. I just wanted to get started before the ground was too far away to fall to lol
