My noble steed....

I ride this guy from time to time. His name is Prince, and he's a 17.2 Clydesdale gelding.

Big and handsome. He has a kind eye, peeking out from all that hair!

Yeah, he's a good soul, although can be a bit of a handful in the school!

Here he is today, with one of his owner's cats hanging out in the stable.

The other Clydesdale is Mel, who is a bit smaller at 16.2hh. I'm hoping her owner will let me have a go of her at some point! I also happen to think Mel has the biggest, most expressive eyes I've ever seen on a horse!

Nice, handsome man, he is!

I must say though, his halter in the first two pictures, the noseband is either twisted or on upside down. The buckle should not be pressed against his nose like that.

I think one of the yard helpers put it on incorrectly, or put it on too quickly without realising - after our ride, I made sure to put it on the right way!

I LOVE clydesdales! They are my favorite horse breed! My first memory of the breed would be when I read the name online and pronounced it cly-dess-dale. My dad corrected me, then I looked up the breed and immediately felt in love with them!!!
