That's a lot of money to ask for a greenbroke horse, regardless of the fact that she's 50% 'magickal' Friesian. You might get it though, because some people are simple minded and buy into the hype.

Yeah, that's why I put 'or best offer.' I've seen a lot of weanling and yearling Friesian crosses in our area selling for $4,000, so I thought I would start off there. It's still a downgrade from what he paid for her!

With her breeding in our area, you could easily ask $5,500 for her. Her conformation isn't to bad and friesen crosses out here are popular. I think she's cute. What I would recommend for you to do tho, is to handle her as much as you can to try to get her to be a bit less spooky and used to things.

horses are more expensive in WA, as is just about everything. Only thing relatively cheap is electricity.

She is cute, and you have nothing to lose but to try. There'sa Fresian at our barn. He's very pretty, but a drudge to ride. You couldn't pay me 4,000$ to take him.

If you had the time to put more hours on her under saddle you could probably get back what your grandpa paid. Sounds like she just needs hours / miles?

We don't have very many Friesian or crosses here (at least in my circles) so I can't offer advise on that.

However, green broke is a selling feature for some buyers aka "Finish your way" "ready to go in any direction."

She is a nice looking horse IMO.

that's a STEAL where im at. I don't see a Frisian cross unbroke go for less thank 7k.
This horse is not even broke and he's going for 8k and will more than likely sell at that price. You may be able to get more for this mare. EXPESHALY if she is broke and you put more miles on her.

There was a Friesian cross here for $2500.
Extensively dressage trained and gentle, just wasn't taking to it. He was pretty good looking. Sold as a trail horse.

She looks sweet, good luck! Sorry to hear about your grandfather, give him a hug for me. I'm going through similar and it's so hard watching your hero age...
HUGS to you too! Hope she finds a great home!
