Like I said-I have never had an issue in 17 yrs. Guess I have been very lucky, since I have had several. (when I move=new one. Whomever the barn uses has been fine with me.)

My farrier uses the same nippers, rasp, and cradle that he uses on all his clients minis to mine, he also charges the same for any size horse. My guys are barefoot. I didnt even know they made draft size farrier tools other than the shoes.
Sounds like Solon, you've spoiled your farrier.(don't tell my farrier)

I want to make sure my farrier stays. I called over 20 farriers within a two hour radius and offered to pay travel and none of them were willing to work on a draft. I was talking to the draft guys at the county fair over the weekend and they do all their own because they can't find anyone to work on them.

There larger size tools that work better. Sure you can use the regular size ones but the bigger ones are better according to the farriers I've talked to online.

Get charged more than a light horse, but it's worth every darn penny plus the tip I give him.
