They are 12 yr old, roughly 18 hds (haven't taped them). I was able to get a package deal, horses, harnesses, wagon, saddles (they ride also) even the brushes and buckets. The gentleman that had them, just wasn't able to hitch them anymore and wanted them to have a good home. I got lucky, they just need a little work on their manners and stop teaming up on my younger guy "junior" and we'll all be happy.

WB-Wow! Look at those handsome faces :) Love those big muzzles and floppy drafty lips! How fun! I'd love to get my guy pulling a wagon or cart.

You know drafts will always hold a special place in my heart, but I got to say this. When you guys bought these horses, did you ever think of the falling distance? The amount of time it would take to actually hit the ground in the event of an unvoluntary dismount?

Loving all the pictures, gorgeous horses everyone! I'll have to get some pictures of my draft crosses on here....I haven't downloaded most of my pictures to the computer yet. I think I have a couple pictures of my gelding....half appy, 1 quarter clyde and 1 quarter paint. The pictures don't do him justice though! They are from before I got him. He looks very grey in the picture, but the roaning on his front is actually very red.

Indy-Your gelding is absolutely stunning! You can really see all 3 breeds in him, the stockiness of the draft, the appy blanket and the paint in the front! How cool :)

Xena is so pretty. She looks a lot like my gelding who is perch/paint/clyde.

For me I didn't realize it til I went to test ride my Clyde. Then I looked down... I'm fairly used to being high up since my TB is 17.2 but just the sheer massiveness of the drafts bones makes 18.2hh feel about 20 hands.

Thanks guys! Claymore's definitely unusual looking. He's 7 years old, 16.1, and broke to ride or drive (though I have never hitched him up yet). Here's another pic of him I grabbed this morning, I'll get some better ones later on:

And this is Freyja, my 10 year old Shire/Paint mare (sorry the pics are so dark, my barn is 140 years old and has really bad lighting)

And these are Finn, he's my special little guy! He's just turned 8 months old, and taped at 14.1 hands this morning. He's 3/4 Shire, 1/4 Paint - Freyja above is his mom, and he's out of an 18.2 registered Shire stallion. He's also a dirty little bugger, covered in mud. :( He's also the cockleburr KING. Again, I apologize for the dark pictures.

Okay, got some better, outdoor pictures of the guys. Claymore wasn't being very photogenic, he decided he must roll in something gross and then stand facing the sun so his eyes are closed in most of the pictures. that's just his personality all over.

I wish I had some "before" pictures of Freyja - you can really see, with taking pictures, how far she has come from the scarecrow she was just 5 months ago.
