Yeah somebody told me today that a guy was saying his horse was a belgian, when it looked pretty much exactly like my horse.

Default Rare draught breeds.

Hi all, I think the Suffolk Punch is pretty rare. I am very fortunate in that there has only been one SP stallion in New Zealand and I have one of his offspring. Phoenix is four years old out of a clydie/TB mare with her Suffolk Punch sire, she is not overly tall (will probably just scrape over 15.2hh) but boy is she solid! I am a bit disappointed because I have not been able to get much in the way of info on Phoenny's sire. She is the first SP that I have had anything to do with and I am a convert. She is everything that you could possibly ask for in a draught breed horse.

I had never heard of the American cream draft before, what a spectacular animal and obviously really laid back and kind. Another rare breed besides the Suffolk Punch is the Boulonnais which is a French breed. Speaking of French breeds you should check out the Norman Cob which is an amazing horse although weirdly, in France mainly bred for meat.
