This is Isabella, she was a PMU mare for ~ 6 years, off the line for another 6 years...and still has a few trust issues that we're working on. I was lucky enough to track down a few pictures of her still in Canada.
Here is my PMU Shire mare that I just got this past Monday after an auction. She was marked for slaughter, but we bought her from the KB before she went on the truck. Anyone have any ideas of her freeze brands and why she would have 3 different ones?
This is Dante, my Clyde/QH/TB PMU baby who was three when this photo was taken. He was in an awkward gangly phase at the time and filled out quite a lot a year or so later. This seems to be the only photo I have of him. He was a project I bought with the intention of breaking him to saddle and selling, and thus he was sold in 2006. Shame, in a way, as he was a lovely lad, and if I could have taken two horses to Britain, I would have done. He would be about nine now and probably grayed out.
Freya - if you go back to the first page of this thread someone commented on the pics of my mare explaining the different brands. My mare had three brands as well.
