Update on Jake the Belgian - We're Getting Him!

We went and looked at Jake today. Poor guy looks even worse in person! He's so sweet, and sad. He's covered in old sores from the driving harnesses, his mane is one big knot, he's covered in mud and flies and he's sooo skinny. Miraculously his legs are cool and tight, his feet look good and he seems sound.

Needless to say we put a down payment on him and will be picking him up next week. I can't wait to get him... Here are some pictures from today

Critique him please if you can!

Oh, that poor guy. Good on you for taking him in. He will be much happier with you. {:( I feel so sorry for him. Does he have joint problems or something? I just noticed that he stands VERY under himself on the front. It will be a wonder if he doesn't have scratches from standing around in the mud like that. :,,(

Poor fella. You have a lot of work ahead of you, but I can't wait to see how you do with him!

Oh, my. He's definitely in need of TLC. Poor baby. You can see how sad he is in his eyes. I'm sure after a few months with you, he's going to perk right up. I think it's great you're giving him a second chance at a good life =)

There was only one other horse there, he was a yearling tb colt, you can see him in a couple of the pictures, he's also really skinny! :(

Thank God you are there. You are performing a miracle by taking this poor soul home to happy pastures where he will be spoiled and be so well taken care of.
Bless your heart. Karma will without a doubt be coming around for you my dear lady.

Congrats on your new horse. He is going to be one stunning horse.
