Update and more pics of Ben =)

I know hes only been with me for 3 days but man hes doing great. I wanted to try to see if he would still accept a saddle after 3 1/2 years, and well he did wounderfull, he never even flinched with the saddle or pads. He just stood there likes he's done this for years. Im so happy and cant waite to try and get on him. I cant right now cause one the saddle girth is not big enough and two I cant seem to find a hlater big enough. I do have a box of halters, bridles, hackamors, and girths, comming this week that are suppose to be for drafts so im hiong some of it fits. lol I know this is not a big step but its so exciting for me. Im still so very green with riding and stuff but i feel so safe and ok with him. Ok enough of me chatting i hope you all enjoy the pics, sorry there are so many but im just so pround of him. Oh i measured him and hes at 17.2 HH

Love the picture of him lying down :) My guy is about 17.3 and uses a 62" girth. I got a draft-sized rope halter from Ebay that works really well, has room to grow and keeps him in line. Had a leather halter on him today and he was much less receptive to my tugs to stop eating grass and follow me!
