Danastark, how hard wqas it for you to get in touch with the PMU farm? I've looked into it, right now I'm still awaiting a response from the rescue group that had her originally.

I'm going to jump on the clyde/TB bandwagon with your girl.

Aires is Percheron/paint and has a totally different build (stodgier neck like the Perchie, not the longer, graceful neck like a clyde would have). According to my BO, who rescued Aires from the slaughter house in Canada, Aires was a PMU foal. According to his breeder (who I've been in contact with), Aires was NOT a PMU, but was purpose-bred as a sport horse prospect, but was sent to slaughter because the breeder misjudged the market and seriously overbred that year.

Do not tell me I can't...because I will show you that I can.

I have a Perch. and I agree that yours is not Percheron. She's got a Clyde head and too much feathering for a Percheron... even pure Percheron's generally don't have that much feathering. Your cross has more feathering then my pure Percheron.

I never talked to anyone at the PMU ranch where he came from, I was given a picture of him w/ his mother by the rescue and she had a # tattooed on her side and I was told he came from Ranch 1 so I looked that up and found his mother listed as one of the mares bred to Pepper, a paint/percheron stallion. Ranch 1 didn't even have any belgian stallions there. I think that ranch went out of business because some of the stallions showed up for sale on the rescue's listing of horses needing homes in Canada.

I found a picture of her when she was still in Canada! Apparently she came from Ranch 16. A lot of the horses from 16 are Perchs, however, I did see a few that were more Clyde like.
