Are you DEAD serious? Like...actually serious? Tell me you're joking, because I don't think I can contain myself if you're actually trying to defend not saying God hates Dressage by claiming God just hates every single last thing that makes up modern Dressage.

MM, you act like you're unaware of horsemen in existence who feel the same; there's a whole movement--can't recall name at moment-- dedicated to replacing FEI-type stuff with "classical" dressage. Haven't you heard of this?

Of course I have, but that STILL makes the essence of your statement "God hates anyone who does modern Dressage" which is essentially the same thing as "God hates Dressage" seeing as how MOST people, regardless of level, are involved in modern Dressage. Which means you were STILL attempting to point out that 99% of the members on this forum are hated by God for abusing animals.

Oh no, you weren't abusing anybody at all.

In answer to your post, I feel I can only say it again.

That God hates incorrect/cruel/unwise handling of horses is not the same as God hating the humans who engage in it. I don't presume to know how God feels about any individual.

A couple of sites: the Xenophon organization, & dressageworld.

It's implied in that statement.

Unless it weighs a ton... it's just a horse. Draft horse motto.

In the Bible, it says that David murdered, coveted another man's wife, committed adultery, i.e., did hateful things in God's eyes, yet God still called David "a man after His own heart", meaning that God did not hate David himself.

That's why presuming to know who God loves or hates is unwise.

I have to go do my contrast bath; good evening.

Solon, you can explain your confusion to me tomorrow, if you like. "What?" gives me no understanding of it.

Meaning why are you posting this on a horse forum. It doesn't belong.

Unless it weighs a ton... it's just a horse. Draft horse motto.

*munches on popcorn* wow, I head to work for a few hours and this thread is out of control. Quite an interesting read I must say, funny how people back pedal so furiously when they know they're in the wrong :)
Hmmm well can't say I'm religious, but this god bloke must hate an awful lot of things. I also find it interesting how individuals appear to have the word of god right in there ear, how exactly do you know god's take on modern vs classical dressage? I would have thought, should god really exist, that 'he' would have more important things to do than get involved in a debate between those who are all for making assumptions and going in with a closed mind about dressage, and those who are involved in the discipline and have put hours upon hours of work into study and research.
Oh well, each to their own. I'm happy to kick back and watch the entertainment unfold, I was meant to be watching a comedy with my partner tonight, might sit here instead :)
