I use boots on the fronts because he's still figuring out his sea legs at the canter and with the leg yielding we've been doing. I might start using polos though since I'm not sure if you can boot the front and polo the back...

Hehehe

They'd chalk to up to "Oh Maggie is doing one of those desensitizing confidence things... right-o then...."

I have to say, I did it like the video because that's how I was taught.. but when I got my own wraps, I begun to do them like the step-by-step.

Denny, I wrap the way you do as well. I cup the ergot on the back of the fetlock, but leave a "V" on the front too. Anyone who has had a horse clip the ergot with their shoe will probably start cupping the back of the fetlock, too.

I polo wrap, but with eskadron climatex under the wraps. I do not wrap under the fetlock, especially behind because my horse is very sensitive and will chafe if they are too far under the fetlock.
I also use bell boots on all 4 legs because in the short work he tends to step on himself with the other leg.

Like Allison, if I'm out for a hack I use full coverage gallop boots.
