Usually brown tack is preferred for chestnuts, but it looks very striking on him.
Brown saddles witnessed a resurgence a few years ago and now are quite mainstream.

Calecto V:
That saddle looks STUNNING on him.

I think a pink saddle would look gorgeous on him!

I'm like JDI, I love really light brown saddles. Don't know what it is about them, they're just fantastic as long as they match the horse well.

Of course, I'm a total hypocrite though - all my tack is black; bridle, saddle, boots, halter, etc. I'm in the process of getting all black saddle pads too.. I'm just a bit OCD about matching. My saddle does have a strange feature though, the underside of it is light brown. At first I hated it, but it's growing on me...

Also, that saddle on Calecto V.. drool!

I think a hunter green or sapphire pad would look nice though... as would a white pad!

Phillip Dutton's cross country saddle is a custom blue and yellow Devoucoux. :P

There's also a company called Tekna that makes colored saddles. Like this white dressage saddle! I think I saw a pink jump saddle on their website once too.

The colored saddles are pretty cool, but I just love the way traditional brown or black leather looks on horses. Classy IMO

The white one looks like a caboose magnifier.

I love the look of black but I don't think this was mentioned but I love black saddles on dark horses with a white pad and then on light horses I like brown saddles..... Just think it looks better. Your choice ! It is your choice and everyone else has a different opinion.
