Question Dressage barns in Colorado?

Hello, I am very curious in learning dressage. Im an experienced rider. I've done almost all disciplines you name it. I've done very little dressage and when I did it I was very young. But its so beautiful and I would really like to start taking lessons in it. Do any of you guys know of any dressage barns in Colorado that offer lessons and lesson horses? Thanks

Welcome to the Forum!

Unfortunately being in MD I'm no help, but I know Strange (who does eventing) is in CO now. You may want to PM her to see if she can advise something. Good luck! :)

I might be able to help, what part of Colorado are you looking to ride in?

I know of a trainer that travels and of a few barns that offer dressage in the southern area (Parker, Elizabeth).

Well I live in kinda of central north eastern Colorado. But for the right barn I would be willing to travel.

I am not sure how far she travels but my friend uses Kelly Boyd, and really likes her. She has lesson horses at her home barn which I think is somewhere south.

I have also heard wonderful things about Glenda she is Broomfield. Which is too far for me but sounds like it is close for you.

I don't know how far you're willing to travel, but you can look up Blue Roof Equestrian Centre in Lafayette or Autumn Hill Farm in Boulder.

This guy will be giving a clinic in my trainer's place in MD. Knowing my trainer I'd expect him to be very good. He's in CO.

Dolly Hannon will be doing a clinic in my area in March, and she's based in Arvada, CO. Here's the blurb that my local dressage society sent out with the announcement:

Quote:
Janet 'Dolly' Hannon is a USEF 'S' Judge from Golden, Colorado has been a Dressage competitor, instructor, trainer, clinician, coach and judge for over 30 years. Dolly is a USDF Certified Instructor to 4th level and a Bronze, Silver and Gold Medalist. She also has several students that also have all three medals. Dolly teaches and judges throughout the country. She says, "O teach all levels of riders as long as they want to learn, are willing to work and want to have fun."
