Dressage Newbie Here

Hello from Colorado!

Just wanting to introduce myself and get to know like minded people who share the same passion... ~Dressage~

I'm new to it "physically" speaking... but have designed a lot of websites for sport horse owners/breeders etc. And they ALL have amazing dressage videos that I had to edit, add music to etc. in doing so.. I have fallen in love with the art / discipline.

I have two Arabian mares of my own; one could qualify as a sport pony - and she's the only real rideable girl I have (although only western/pleasure) - she's short and jars me to the bone with her steps, but she is what she is, and she's patient, steady and trainable. My second girl MUCH taller, elegant and takes my breath away everytime I look at her... ~ My Heart Horse ~ ... is only green broke, .. but I am hoping to graduate to her by next summer.

In the mean time - it's just me and my aunt (also my instructor) deep in the heart of the Rocky Mountains... together, doing what we love with my Arabs.. I am genuinely looking forward to a beautiful journey / partnership with these mares, and am sincerely looking forward to reading everyone's posts regarding their own personal experiences and advice for those of us just starting out. :)

Thank you CJ :)

Nazzy is my tall girl (also my avatar pic) and I discoverd the "add a horse" feature in here, so got them both listed there. Nazzy is the one I REALY want to ride.. tall, long legs, so smooth you feel like you're floating on her. But I've only ridden her a few times - had a little "spook" accident that has set us both back, and until I get my confidence back up, and Nazzy gets a little more desensitized from all the big rocks, trees and bushes that she thinks are going to turn into scary monsters and get her... I'll just have to learn all that I can on Amy.. while at the same time building trust, confidence and respect on the ground with Nazzy.

Should add - I just got a new computer, and all my good horse pics are still on the old comp - so I grabbed a screen shot from a video of Amy that I had on facebook where she's being riden by my daughter.. i'll add some better ones just as soon as I get them off the old comp! ;)
