Dressage in Texas???

Hey everyone!
I am new to the forum and also new to Texas having just moved here from Melbourne (Australia) a few months ago.

I'm just wondering what's around in terms of dressage/showjumping in a state that seems predominantly western (western is amazing too, I now have a newfound appreciation for it).

My background is re-training racehorses (lots and lots and lots of them!) and I am considering doing the same here in summer while I am on holiday from college.

I was training at Elementary dressage level and D grade showjumping back home with several different horses. I have also done some 2 day Eventing (competing Preliminary, training at Pre-Novice). My favourite thing is to train green horses (preferably thoroughbreds) but would really like to hear from people who have knowledge in regards to the local dressage or SJ communities. I am looking at getting a horse in the next month and am interested to know what my options might be? I'll probably post this in the jumping section too...

Cheers,
Sarah.

There's a list of dressage clubs in your USDF region. I'm not from Texas, but in my area, getting involved with volunteer associations and clubs is an excellent way to get involved, meet people and learn about dressage in your area!

Good luck!
