Thanks for all the opinions :) I agree with you Valentina fitting a horse to the saddle with a saddle fitter is one of the biggest things to me. It makes a huge difference to them (the horse) I wish more people would try it I think that they would really love it. PS I love saddles that have the easy change gullet system too.

^If I only had 3,000 to drop on a saddle but I think I would blow it on a horse before a saddle lol. I wish I could have a chance to sit in one but I have never seen anywhere with one not even the fitters :(.

My two dressage saddles are both very comfy. My "good one" is a custom made Kildare Dressage Saddle by Berney Bros in Ireland. It is soooo nice and was made to fit my horse's measurements (and they didn't charge me any extra to do it). My lesson saddle is a Wintec Isabell Werth without the CAIR. I find it very comfortable and I can adjust it to her winter or summer weight as she tends to flucuate some between wide and extra wide.

How did you get it? Contacted them directly? They have some nice saddles, but I didn't know they do customs.

I contacted them directly via email. They are wonderful to work with. They had me do a tracing of my horse's back and fax it to them. I paid via credit card. All contact was via email and fax. This is the link you want to use: Berney Saddlery, Enniscorthy, co. Wexford Ireland and fill out their contact form. I believe I worked with Tom Berney.

Personally I love my wintec isabell, it fits my horse and I great.
I don't feel that it 'puts me' in a certain position at all.
I may be strange! We have had a hard time finding saddles to fit my girl and this one fits her like a glove so im very happy with it!

I love my Passier Nicole Grand Gilbert. Bought it used in excellent condition on ebay! Almost bought the Passier Optimum at a saddle shop but was $1000 more so I decided to buy the Grand Gilbert instead. Good saddles for tall riders! Would never buy anything else.

My newest favorite dressage saddle is the Black Country Adelinda. I was riding a horse for a client and decided to try her dressage saddle and I absolutely fell in love with it. So comfortable <3 I loved the way it fit me and the way it supported my position.

I love all the new info on all these saddles!! Thanks! Has anyone heard of the new system in the new 500 dressage saddle where it has inserts that you can insert into the panels to fix the fit. I heard it was similar to the parelli western saddle pad system where you add padding to certain spots to adjust the fit of the saddle but it is in the dressage saddle. I'm a huge fan of fitting the saddle to the horse so does anyone have any info on that system?

Yep, that's the Bates/Wintec (same company) trademark. All of their saddles have a changeable gullet system now.
I'm heading up to a saddlery over the weekend to look at some new saddles, my poor saddle that I love dearly, is getting too narrow for the new boy and because its so old, it can't be adjusted enough for him. So I'll be looking at the Bates range first and foremost, as he is changing shape so much, so quickly.
