I'd assumed that was on the snaffle as well, but close up function on my computer shows it's not.

Hey ho.. so probably not the best example.

I still like the French classical philosophy and find that it makes myself and my horse marginally less crap.

I don't know.....but sometimes I do feel strongly that true collection is more of a feel - rather than a photograph.....sometimes what we see is not always what the rider is feeling........

I love watching them and think they do a good job, too.

I got to see them when they came to the U.S. In the 60s. Even made it behind the scenes. May be the only time I've ever been star struck.

My sister went to at show at the school. I can only imagine what that was like.

Hm what about the Spanish Riding School in Vienna?

That's what the silverspear's video is of. Only, when they toured to England in the 60s.

Wow. To be able to ride like that.

Thread Hijack!

Since this thread pretty much died, I would love to get some opinions, especially from the folks who have already posted. If the mods or OP would like to move this post, have at it.

Just curious, do you think you can tell collection from a still photo let alone a photo of only the head and neck?

I am not on FB but my husband brought this photo to my attention and the debate that followed. Just curious what you Dressage folks think of the below photo and please tell what you see and your opinion. Of course this is not a Dressage horse but I would like your point of veiw.

I DON'T LEAD 'EM AND FEED 'EM, I RIDE 'EM AND SLIDE 'EM.

IMO, Cowchick you cannot tell collection from a photo of just the head and neck.
